Opened a very small position in CCIV this morning as a speculative play.

Selling a small, remaining position of PRGSX (TRP Global Stock) in my Fido T-IRA. Spreading the proceeds around into other Fido funds in the account: FHKCX (China Region), FICDX (Canada) and FSPHX (HC).
Why: Tech under pressure -- want to preserve gains in PRGSX before they evaporate; I consider the other funds as more undervalued with solid potential for future gains. Also: more consolidation and simplification.

Yesterday and today Bot some PRWAX, FBALX, MATFX, VWILX,-- Why - I think tech is undergoing the back part of "back and fill". VWIAX - Why - Stupid $...and because I crave another abusive relationship added salt to the EDV wound, will add more at $125.00. Working off a little cash. I also have some $$ coming from unexpected work projects I'm putting to work.

Adding a little bit to VHCAX, VEXAX and VWALX. Just B.ing the D. Your and RM's buying the dip has been working well. I have been buying only when the market goes up and it has not been working as well. Congratulations!

I must like pain as I just put in an order for more Wellesley (which should be lower by about 1.4% today). And, I also am buying... drum roll... LT Treasuries. This bond rout makes very little sense to me.

This bond rout makes very little sense to me. I talked a fund management company today. Part of what he told me about what is going on, was that munis were richly priced. So I will extend this to most all bond OEFs today. In effect it was time for a bond fund correction. Unlike some investors I look at fund NAVs as opposed to only TRs. Many funds have NAVs at or near all time highs.

The other part of the bond fund decline is retail investor selling and interest rate increases. I did not ask how long but I doubt he could venture a guess. My guess is when interest rates stabilize things will improve.

Order placed to add to FHKCX in today's big drops in HK, China and India. Even though the fund is way up for the month, the week's sell-off seems overdone to me.

Unloaded BSL (mini loss) & BXMX (mini gain) and rolled them over into FPF for div cap. I know div cap is not a viable long term strategy, but I'm dancing so long as the fiddler plays. Bought new hedging position in HDGE on tech signals. Lastly, added just a bit to SLV on this morning's dip.

Adding some salt to SCHD, FISMX as I'm trying to bring my "value" left side of the grid up a bit. Nice to see EDV up but XLE is down pretty big. OT, but noticed that PCI and PFN my only small holdings of FI CEFs have held pretty well with all the FI drama.

After lowering the overall portfolio risk, added to existing SCHD. Good quality stocks, decent P/E, good dividend, reasonable beta. Looking for something I can hold for longer term.

Picked a starter position in PFE. Yield at 4.6%. Stock is in a decline. So next purchase would be only if it goes up ie. a pyramid up.
(My second dividend stock after JPM.)

I only watch price action on my small holdings just to keep them in front of my eyes.

I only watch price action on my small holdings just to keep them in front of my eyes. They recovered some today but still quite a bit down from their recent NAV peak. PDO NAV lost again today. Now at 19.87, below the IPO NAV. So, it’s NAV lost 0.35% since IPO, a month ago.

I bought a few shares to add to my UTG position near the open. Just reinvesting excess dividends.

Caramba. Hedges got slammed today, but longs & silver more than compensated. RWM chart flashed the dreaded "double whiplash" but HDGE is quieter, still in "accumulate". Going to just hold shorts for now. Smells like euphoria out there. If I'm wrong, it will be "two steps forward, one step back." I can live with it. If I'm VERY wrong, may even break all rules to buy more hedges on the way up.
Div capture continues. February broke my monthly income record. Sold FCT & FPF to roll over into PDT and ZTR. Wanted to get into RSF but it zoomed right at the open. Will try to get some if it slips back.
BTW, chang: brief diversion -- what's the difference between "Reply" and "Quick Reply?" Which is generally better to use? Thanks.

-- what's the difference between "Reply" and "Quick Reply?" Which is generally better to use? Thanks. Quick Reply doesn't have fancy features and the window is already open at the bottom. Internally, operation of many plugins are tied to Quick Reply window. If you click Reply, the full menu bar opens up. If Quick Reply was turned off, you would have to click Reply to open the reply window.

Took gains on 3/4 my oversize position in AR. Beautiful run-up the last few months, but sharp little dip today and still trending downward this afternoon. Will hold onto the rest to see what happens. If it paid any kind of dividend I'd probably have sold less.

Since I decided to transfer a small HSA account to Fidelity, I sold yesterday VIGIX (the only holding in that HSA). As the transfer might take a couple of weeks or more to complete, I bought in another account an equal amount of SCHD with money that was sitting in cash in a continued effort of adding some value stocks to my portfolio.

Per the recent Merrill Lynch CEF report, took an opening position in KYN. Its quarterly ex-div is up in a couple of weeks.
For div cap, bought CPZ.
PDO isn't working, possibly because of projected small distributions. Sold 1/3 position.
