My stockcharts page has changed its look tonight. Anyone else experience this?
I tried another browser and it looks the same, and I am not seeing a toggle for a different look like you find on the Fidelity site or Yahoo.

It looks more or less the same on my Android phone running the Chrome app.

Cheapskate that I am, I've been using the free version of stockcharts and, after using it for a while, I've found that their advertisements are becoming more distracting, especially when they start flashing. I find that using stockcharts on the BRAVE web browser cleans up their chart pages very nicely. Not sure how beneficial BRAVE browser is on other, normal web surfing, though. stockcharts.com/h-sc/ui

I emailed support last night and they responded: Yes, there has been a change. We have released an update to our SharpCharts charting software. Many features of the SharpCharts 3.0 workbench are now a part of our charting service. However, the SharpCharts workbench is still available, stockcharts.com/h-sc/ui yogibearbull, Clicking on the logo doesn't change the page but the link in their reply takes you to the previous version. I have a paid subscription which I used for awhile but at this point I don't think I use features that are not in the free version. I don't mind the $20/month for what I am getting, and am happy to lend a little support. I never did get ads with the free version probably due to my ad blocker.

At StockCharts, I like chart linkability, multi-charting & lots of free TA.
So far, so good. They remain part of the FREE version. Some ads, I can deal with.
Linkability is scarce. PV has it. M* Charts had it but not anymore (M* Discussions is also closed/private now, so even posts cannot be linked). Yahoo Finance & MFO Premium never had linkable charts. Sure, one can take screenshot & post it, but that doesn't match live, linked charts. Supporting chart linkability requires storage & has associated costs, so it may be a free resource that gets cut first.

I's a great one and by default, Brave blocks trackers & ads on the websites you visit, keeping you more private online. Review of Brave ( zapier.com/blog/brave-browser-review/)

Below is a tutorial of the new stockcharts workbench, as well as some added features for the rest of the site. I think they did a good job with this new user interface. If you don't want to watch the vid, you can also go to the bottom right corner of the chart and use the help button which will give a tour of the different buttons. The vid is more thorough though. www.youtube.com/watch?v=epIdzVytVXw

Thanks for the video which is pretty good. The main tool Sharpchart is very similar and FREE, most new stuff and/or advanced isn't free. Additional features for traders = more trouble. For my purpose, nothing new.

Good point about free vs subscription. The vid doesn't really point that out very well. I have the basic (1 step up from free) so I can't really compare.
I think the free version still has ease of use improvements, like not having to click update everytime you make a change.

If I want to compare 2+more funds, the old one ( schrts.co/tCGUFfah) works better for me + it's shorter and I can select, one month, YTD or change the from to dates. The one you see from the new main page under perth ( stockcharts.com/freecharts/perf.php?PIMIX,NHMAX) I don't like as much. I can't even make it work, the link doesn't include NHMAX. If I change the number of days, the link stays the same. Stockchart is similar to the above. I can save the link with all my selection the old way ( schrts.co/QFPTfAAr), but not the new, FOR FREE. Bottom line: unless I'm missing how to do it the new way, I'm using my old links for FREE.

FD1000 , I agree 100% with your comments on the first link in your post. I have the old version of that chart in my bookmarks bar. That second link, I've never even seen that one before! Normally I dislike any changes to web pages that are working fine. The new version of this chart is growing on me and I'm finding it easier, but we all do different things with the charts. I've never ventured into their ACP chart style. Too many bells and whistles.

Thanks, FD. The new free SC charting gives you a larger chart and not necessary to hit "update" every time you sneeze. As mentioned on another post, using it on the BRAVE web browser lets one operate without all the distracting advertisements. By way of comparison, I'm showing a photo of my display monitor showing my default charting set-up on the thinkorswim website. I attempt (not always successfully) to limit my trading to low volatility assets (blue charts, showing one-month, 3-mo and 6-mo (for perspective in the bottom right) The gray charts are several of my largest current positions which I like to keep always front & center. Positions held strictly for income are not generally included here. For everything except the one-month chart, I use two-day intervals and operate solely with the PPS indicator (the arrows). And, excepting income, that's pretty much how I roll. Preview attachment image.jpg

Hope previous post with image works. Every time I try to put up an image here it's like re-inventing the wheel. Had to severely reduce image quality to get BB to accept it. Blue charts are one-mo, 3-mo and 6-mo. I use these for trading signals. Gray charts are all three months and generally used to track my larger positions, so nothing important falls thru the cracks. I strip down information to the most critical data and the only indicator I use is the PPS. For everything except the one-mo chart, I use two-day intervals. AFAIK thinkorswim is the only platform that offers it for free.
Thinkorswim lets you create & maintain up to 24 charts on one display, all working up to date and independently from each other. I am comfortable using ten charts on my 27" monitor. If I had a big 35" screen I suppose I could go for 16 charts or so, but ten seems to work for now.
When I use stockcharts, I bleach out all price line data and trade with ONLY the two-day MA and the 12-day MA crossovers with Parabolic SAR as confirming overlay.
---------------.
Note: On the gray charts I just picked up a SELL signal for PDI. I will be selling half shortly after Monday's open.
Also: I really like ENB (on the six-mo chart) and am watching it for its AVOID signal to reverse.

I hope this helps: big-bang-investors.proboards.com/thread/2966/inserting-imagesThere is a 1MB per attachment limit (I have no control over that), but that's a pretty healthy size for a picture.

I have found that FREE "I Love PDF" does a good job of compressing PDFs (but quality suffers), and converting large JPG images into rather small PDFs. Some sites for passport and visa applications require uploading stuff, but also have restriction on upload size. Typically, a camera JPG is large, and the related PDF is also large, and neither may be uploaded due to size restrictions. I found that "I Love PDF" feature to convert JPG to PDF results in a small PDF from large JPG, and that is better than PDF compression. www.ilovepdf.com/www.ilovepdf.com/compress_pdfwww.ilovepdf.com/jpg_to_pdf
