This question has come up twice recently, so I'm copying here what I just posted in another thread:
To insert an image from the internet, just click the "Insert Image" icon , and insert the image's URL. It will automatically appear at full size. To insert an image from your computer, click the "Add Attachment" button above. Then click "Add Files" (add the file and then wait a second), then be sure to click "Insert". It will appear where your cursor is. It will, however, appear as a thumbnail, so most people type the words "Click to enlarge" or "Click to expand". (If you don't click insert, the image will appear at the bottom of your post.) Also, see here: www.proboards.com/user-guide/posting/inserting-images

More: Images that don't have their own URLs can be uploaded at image hosting sites such as ImgBB (https://imgbb.com/; free use but can save work after free signup) and then use PB Insert-Image tool.
Some attachments from the PC may carry personal info. In this respect, PB seems OK with .pdf, .png, .jpg, etc but not for .doc, .xls.

There are privacy settings in MS Excel that can be set so that personal information is not shared. I assume the same is true for the other MS Office applications such as Word.

liftlock, yes, if one is aware of this issue AND resets privacy in WORD and Excel before posting. But I have seen some stuff posted as-is and the poster isn't even aware of this problem. I have alerted some posters who have then deleted their posts or deleted the Attachment.
