QQQ and MGK
Both up over 44% YTD
Would you invest now for long term?
I see profit taking and a turn in the market. If rates continue down I think value stocks will outperform growth stocks in competition with bonds. Or at least compete with them.
One would think large growth, lower interest rates, better, but they have already refinanced at rock bottom rates. It won't make that much difference, at least for the biggest.
Thoughts?

I've owned MGK for over a dozen years. I'll die with it as it is in my taxable account and the capital gains would kill me. I have other sources of money when I need it. I bought a small amount in May 2022 and sold the same shares just over a year later. I don't want MGK to be too large in my portfolio. When it dives again, I'll probably be there to nibble again. I think any time is a good time if you want to buy a stick it away somewhere.

fishingrod , I've been building SCHD, PEY, O, RNP, VZ, UTG, BME, PIMIX and letting my FI CEF reinvest. I agree with you. I was adding to LCG a while back and am still heavy there. I even bet VWIAX has a good year in '24.

Maybe they never break. AI may carry them higher for a long time. Do you tell a 20-something to not invest in QQQ for a 40 year time frame?

The Qs also make an excellent trading vehicle if one is so inclined. This past week saw the Qs make a bullish break that projects a 32/33% gain over the next9 months or so.
