Thanks for the M* Fund Category Definitions link! I noticed these changes for allocation funds a while ago. I prefer the prior category names since they explicitly specified equity ranges.

How can anyone think categories like Moderately Aggressive is a more accurate description than what it replaced? Hard to believe Morningstar actually pays someone to come up with this crap.

@django, to the contrary, CA, MA, AA designation were around for years. M* tried to use clumsy % for nominal-equity (but it's the effective-equity that matters), and finally, M* gave up and resumed the old designations. So, yes, M* wasted lot of money on this % crap.
