I like their videos. Very Informative.
This year so far markets are seeing something very different than they are. Who should I believe the market or the commentators?

That was definitely worth watching. Thanks for posting it. I agree that chasing the returns of the few tech stocks leading the market is a horrible idea. Also agree ST Treasuries that are paying more than the current inflation rate are a great place to hide out.

I too like Oxbow because they cater to retirement stage clients.. so there is relevance in their messages. We trade the markets so we HAVE TO believe the markets. Commentators to me just provide a perspective. In general, I look at the chorus of commentators and tend to do the opposite. Right now, the bearishness chorus leads me to wade further into the risk pool.

I love charts and they use a lot of them. However I make a point of looking at stock market charts when I want to know where the stock market is going. Since the stock market has been shown to be a leading indicator of the economy, I feel that economic indicators lag the stock market. Their method seems to be similar to leveraging a rearview mirror.

Mr. Oakley has a very smooth presentation style. He is a confident communicator. He makes me want to believe his conclusions. After the presentation I waited a while and then internally analyzed his observations. There was logic and common sense IMO. Thank you for sharing.

changing your equity exposure based on macro economic conditions sounds like market timings to me?
Markets have humbled me (and all the commentators) so many times in last 13 years I have been investing, that I have lost count.
Most recent case being this year.
I think it is just better to stay invested in AA one is comfortable and for some part of portfolio - add momentum and valuation based positioning for extra fun if one has time
