Wanted to wish everyone a happy Father’s Day today. Growing up without an active father (mine essentially abandoned my mother with 5 kids to raise), I understand the importance of a good male “figure” in someone’s growth and development. I have had the pleasure of raising three children, now ages 33 (young man with moderate ID and cerebral palsy), 31 year old great daughter, and a foster child who is 26 and finally starting to get his “bearings”. Have often been “uncertain” as to how to be a “good father”, but have also been blessed to have them in my life. Attribute much of their success to my wonderful wife of 40 years, who has been an outstanding mother!
Again, happy Father’s Day to all!

I am the father of 20 and 18 year old sons. Proud of them both. They are fine young men. I have tried to do well by them. Thankfully their mother has as well as guided me thru this maze of fatherhood. Happy Father's Day.
Yep I reposted these words from another site. They are just as true here as they are there.

Happy Father's Day All!!
I am the father of two kids - a boy and a girl - who turned out successful. And I can't take all the credit for it coz the mom is equally if not more influential in shaping their success.
I do recollect both bitter and sweet memories with my father that passed a long time back. Life has been a bed of roses but it reminded/reminds us that there are thorns too that prick.
