FYI... I wanted to check a few things with my portfolio. The free version of M* Xray wouldn't work for me. I logged into Morningstar through my public library, and discovered it also has an Xray tool that is actually quite a bit more advanced. I found it worthwhile.

Although I was already logged into Portfolio Manager, when I went to the Xray page, it made me log in again, but it wouldn't take. The homepage also showed I wasn't logged in and when I tried logging in from there, same result. Anyway, I found the library Xray superior enough that I won't be using Instant Xray again. That was the reason for the post.

In addition to Portfolio X-Ray, I can access the FundInvestor/ETFInvestor newsletters and M* mutual fund reports via M* Investment Research Center (provided by local library).

I see my library's Morningstar site has gone through a big redesign. X-ray is no longer offered but Analyst Reports are still available.

M* Instant X-Ray link has been gone for a while.
X-Ray remains available within M* Portfolio (Premium feature) and the new M* Investor (access from Portfolio details).
