The time frame for editing / deleting posts has been reduced from two weeks to 24 hours. There have been a couple of cases where the original post on a thread was deleted, which is awkward. Similarly, it can be awkward if someone makes deletions throughout an existing thread which is already lengthy and developed.
I think 24 hours ought to be sufficient for a person to correct typos, make edits, etc. to their posts. If someone needs to change / delete a post after 24 hours, please let me know and I will take care of it.

On one hand it may be best to delete all posts after a period of time. There is a point of too much repetition which makes people react as happened yesterday. Frustration with others leading to criticism by 3+ posters.

I don't know what the "3+ posters" criticism issue is. That sounds like something that could/should be discussed in a Private Message.

Just some observations.

I will say that sometimes people post things that are not just observations but actual factual information that can be relied upon for future reference.

I am sure you are right. I tend to remember important stuff and/or jot down notes for future reference.
