Are you using any global allocations funds or any that you would recommend if you were to move in that direction?

Bobpa The only WA fund I own is Vanguard's VGWAX. It has a distinct value orientation (unlike the domestic VWENX, which got a portfolio facelift last year).

I presently have positions in RPGAX in an IRA and a brockerage account. I also have been looking a MDLOX.

I have RPGAX in both IRA and Brokerage accounts. I also have positions in BGAFX, BCSVX ARTYX and NWFFX, which I think are excellent funds for the long term, but since I am in the late term of my earthly journey I am seriously thinking of moving these positions into RPGAX and possibly CVLOX.

VWENX is my largest single holding, no plans or target to sell, will pass on to the sons if not needed earlier. I did TLH a few smaller transactions to VWENX but plan to return in 30+ days.

John resurrected a 2+ year old post. I sold VGWAX into the bond slaughter (early 2022?), and since then I slowly got rid of (almost) all actively managed funds in taxable; a long overdue restructuring to improve tax efficiency.
I wouldn't reconsider VGWAX now in an IRA, since I prefer foreign dividends to appear in a taxable account, where I can get a tax credit. On top of that, my IRAs are 100% equity, for growth — no bonds. All bonds are in taxable.
So while I like the idea of a Wellington managed, foreign large value fund, VGWAX is not a package I can use.
