Here's the news: I just received word from Amazon that my new book, Memos From "The Stock Trader's Notebook" has just been OK'd for sale on Kindle. This opening version has a bit of rough formatting in spots and there are a couple of small areas I want to tweak before I go for paperback, but for all intents, the manuscript is done. I'll let it speak for itself. I could keep on fiddling forever, but this HAD to get out for the Christmas season. If you don't have a Kindle reader, you can download a free Google app for reading on your PC or smart phone. I'm pricing the book at 2.99 to try to garner the hoped-for comments & reviews, later to go up to 9.99 and 19.99 for the paperback in January or February. Anyway that's the plan. Many thanks to anitya for all his encouraging support and editing suggestions. Some came in time to incorporate in this version -- others will be reflected in the first revision. He wins First Prize of a free paperback. (Second prize is TWO free paperbacks.)

That was faster than I expected; congratulations and much success! For those who missed it, Richard mentioned working on a book a short time ago, but I had no idea he was this close to publishing.
I can do the conversion from MOBI myself, but is there an EPUB version contemplated?

Well done, neighbor.
I trust I will not find "Pyramiding Up", which we spoke about at our last lunch, in the book!
Good luck.

I found it on amazon. I am unfamiliar with e-books. If I purchase for Kindle will Google Play Book use the Kindle format?

R48 Actually, R, I DID cite "pyr-up" as a realistic tactic in the section covering whether or not to add in a bullish trend. (I did not mention your R48 handle lest you wanted to preserve your privacy, but can do so if you like when the paperback revision comes out.) This forum (and M* before it) has had a great influence on my thinking and long-time lurkers will find the BigB discussion influence in many places.

Richard, An amazing book, congrats. (to all the posters who claim I'm constantly throw mud at the "experts"). There are so many nuggets in this book, it's difficult to mention all of them 1) Buffett: Diversification is protection against ignorance. Richard mentioned a max 5-7 funds/ETFs. 2) The trend is your friend. 3) Use only 2 (maybe 3) indicators when using charts + use ST + LT indicators. 4) The charts don't care about what you think or what many experts think. They just tell the truth NOW. You don't need to have multiple degrees to be a good trader. 5) Use lower volatility ETF/funds What's not to like? The concepts are well thought and explained...wait...I agree about so much in this book, because my system and ideas are similar, it is scary how 2 different people that never met, think so much a like, WOW. I don't agree about everything, but that doesn't matter, I can always learn, or better, we can have a brainstorm of ideas. Richard, BRAVO. Lastly, I predict the following, hundreds will read it, after 2 years less than 5 will implement it, and after 5 years, maybe 1 will use it. I hope to be wrong, prove it by start practicing it. I need more investors with similar trading/thinking/techniques. Edit/Add: this is AOM ( chart) that includes the main 3 indicators, using stockchart, which I prefer because the chart includes dist while Yahoo doesn't. Example: from Oct 4 to 14, PDI lost 10% at Yahoo, but only 8.8% at stockchart.

I attempted to set up Richard's system on a Yahoo-linked spreadsheet for backtesting. Have started a new thread on the T/A forum.

Richard,
Great job. Think FD gave most of the compliments I could give. I ordered it and read it twice. I will also order a paperback for reference. Amazon shows 2 5 star reviews and I left another one. I will be one that uses the information.
Thanks again.

Richard,
Got the book. Read it. Will leave a review as soon a I figure out how Amazon does reviews.
A very good job. It take the pain out of T/A books and gives one the things needed without the excess stuff most books include (and hardly anyone understands).
Enjoyed all the humor, as well.
