As usual, I keep things "simple" and based on performance...lately. US=VOO,SCHD,HDV VS IEMG,EMXC. According to the chart below, SCHD+HDV are leading comfortably. SCHD+HDV is leading for one year and the last 1-3 months. In my world, the market spoke, and the market is always right and why I would select only these 2. Attachments:

Added SCHD + HDV to my brothers restructured retirement portfolio. If it goes up, I'll take credit; if it goes down, I'll refer him to FD1000' post! If it goes way down, I will tell him he is an income investor--thus don't worry about it! R48

R48 I didn't promise going up, just relative performance. :-) Remember, I have posted about SCHD for years as one of the best option to get good performance but higher income, while most pure income funds were trailing SPY. My rules are look for great risk/reward funds first and only then look for income. Since 01/2022, I posted that value is taking the lead after years of lagging. Over 10 years, I stayed only in the US. HDV showed momo because of higher energy exposure. In my world, I sell anything that goes down. How fast and what % depends on several things.

Do you think I don't follow your "under-the-hood" fund recommendations? Often own same...especially bond fund selections.
