My dealer has offered me three options
Michelin Pilot Alpin PA4 : 982 €
Goodyear Ultra Grip 8 Performance : 892 €
Pirelli Sottozero 3 : 795 €
You'd think there would be a web site that compares them side by side and gives all the relevant ratings, but I cannot seem to find one. All are A-1 companies, and the prices are close.
Any informed opinions? TIA.
Edit: after reading various reviews, the Michelin seems to edge out the others, with the Goodyear a close second.

I'm biased, I'm a Michelin guy. Always had good experiences with them. I recently got Michelin CrossClimate 2 for my second car (Subaru Outback), which I can run all year but they qualify as snow tires (alpine symbol). So far I like them.

The Dec. 2021 Consumer Reports issue included tire ratings. Although many different tires were rated, the three tires you listed were not.

I've always found Tire Rack to to be the best source for comparisons and research. But, I have never seen European tires on their site. AFAIK all the major tire companies are global, but I'm sure their tires are named differently on different countries.

They have details on all three. And the Michelins win.

tirerack one of best. another good option is discount tires. They match the price. Just take print or phone screenshot of tirerack prices with you. Most likely their price will be same as tirerack (online bots) or they will match it. With Tirerack be careful as they are very very very good at selling you extended or roadside warranty. You don't want to pay $20-30 per tire for warranty as it is only good for 3 years. With Tirerack, 2 years roadside assistance is built into price. This roadside assitance is by 3rd party so you it does not matter from where you buy. So you might be better off using AAA or your auto insurance provided roadside assistance should you need one.
Then there is always COSTCO!
Regarding Winter Tire most overlooked brand is YOKOhoma tires. I have been using them for years. I found them very good. Very Very quite and good mild snow or wet or winter weather traction (that is with all season tires).

I read Discount tire took over ownership Tirerack about a year ago. TR still seems to operate the same though under new ownership. I've been very happy with them for both tires and some suspension replacements.

My tire "secrets" are: 1) Discount tire is the best. The fastest, beat all on prices, sometimes gave me 2 tires for lower price than one tire by others. The only one that gives me real credit on my old tires without making excuses. The people who work there are the best I have seen in any vehicle shop, while most others are crooks. I found DT by mistake after I had a flat tire and they fixed it for free, even if you didn't buy from them. I'm a very tough customer. It's rare when I like a business 2) Although Consumer Report rates Mish tires as excellent their price is double than what I buy. MIn my experience, Mish didn't last longer and was noisier. 3) Since I don't drive luxury or special vehicle, I buy cheap tires with at least 50K miles thread. 4) Snow tires? Never, I hate snow and hardly ever drove in snow.

I'm with FD on #4 "Snow tires? Never, I hate snow and hardly ever drove in snow."
FD , what do you mean, "The only one that gives me real credit on my old tires"? I usually get nicked a few bucks for them to take the tires for disposal.

DIscount tire also has the best deal on alignment. I would go with DT if they weren't so far out of the way.

So people who hate snow and live in warmer climates give advice about (cheap) snow tires? Original..

Have the Michelin Alpins really like them. Had in the past Bridgestone Blizzaks (sp) like them as well but think the Michelins may be a little better.

We’ve had the car (with the tires) for almost two weeks now. And we did have our first snowstorm already!… and the car managed just fine (although I prefer the Jeep in the snow).
