I understand that India banned the export of the rice sometime ago. Nealry 600,000 tons of rice is waiting at the shipyad, and another 400,000 tons, waiting inland. All togther, 1 millon tons of rice is waiting because the GOI banned the rice export. UN reports, a person is dying every four seconds for lack of food, according to story that I read today.
