I've been paying capital gains taxes for decades now. I'm invested in a couple taxable mutual funds. They make dividend and capital gain distributions. Whether they are reinvested or taken taxes are still due.

The low figure paying CGs is interesting. I wonder if capital losses are included in that figure?

The low figure paying CGs is interesting. I wonder if capital losses are included in that figure? Most of the data on USA facts comes from data published by the the US Federal Government. So this would most likely reflect data reported on income tax returns. I would imagine the capital gains would be offset by any allowable losses.
