Yes, spouse and I vaccinated today in Port Saint Lucie County, Florida.
Was impressed at the handling of thousands of people, in a community center building, with paved parking lots adjacent. Scheduling was in two hour windows. Protocol was: arrive in parking area (not much street backup); park at parker's direction; golf cart drivers available to take one to end of line...or walk about 75 yards. Four ticket takers let you into the building, mostly by scanning; inside, authorization forms are handed out, on clipboards, while you wait in line...if not already completed in advance. Line moves another 8 minutes, when 8 stations of people check out your forms, etc (quick)...then, like in a restaurant, a person tells you what nurse station to visit for your shot. They had about 30 nurse stations (desks) active. After (Pfizer) vaccination, go to gymnasium waiting area (with seats) for 15 minutes, assuring no adverse reaction...then leave. Second shot is exact time/place, 3 weeks hence. Overall, very smooth and professional.
Much assistance provided by police, nat'l guard, fire department. One person close behind me, required an EMT/ambulance. Some of these seniors have not been out of their homes in 9 months!
St. Lucie has contracted an event ticket agency who specializes in concerts. This is working well also, but the signup priority process here and throughout Florida has been very poor. Quite disconcerting for most seniors. Like, St Lucie County did theirs with a wait-list. However, no confirmation given, nor any indication of approx weeks you had to wait in the queue. Many other counties are working on e-mail signups, first come/ first served, one or two times a week, Some sign-ups start at 6 am! All slots gone in 10-30 minutes.
I had four candidates going weekly: my county, an adjacent county, my hospital (if one had ever been a patient), and Publix food-stores, in four counties. A lot of angst in checking daily, and trying to compete with others. Initial signup systems were very deficient and required a complete re-work by county people. (Imagine calling by phone, getting a message "the mailbox is full". How old-fashioned.) This all could have been avoided if started with age 80 and up--continue until list is not full. Then move to age 75 and up; then age 70 and up...and so on.
Our gov (DeSantis) was the first to put age 65 priority above "necessary workers" such as Wal Mart 25 year olds. This has now been adopted by other govs (including NY: Cuomo) and CDC has also gone to this priority. However, should not have had mass sign-ins of everyone, as people 65 y/o have much more computer savvy than those 80 and above. Many used their children across USA signing people up.
FL gvt recently limited signups to FL residents only, or snow birds with proof they are here in winters. My nurse said she had vaccinated New Yorkers who flew in just for the vaccination. Overall, FL leads the nation in vaccines delivered, and expects to hit the one million shot level by Friday. Each Friday, FL is out of vaccinations. That is good...systems are working; signups are the headaches.
I'm still alive!
Maybe some will find this anecdotal information helpful.
