If China can be more pronounced in their "distancing from Russia" the crisis could offer some upside. Otherwise, the issues that were plaguing China would continue. I am not buying China at this time. |

In order to buy fund X instead of Y, at a minimum, fund X must show better uptrend/performance VFINX(SP500)+VOOV(Value)+MCHI(China) charts don't show it for ST(3 months) or for one year. Attachments:

TR's China Evolution Equity, run by Wenli Zheng (BA South China U, MBA U Chicago) is - 22% YTD I checked FKHCX (-17% YTD) ... looks like all China funds are sucking wind. I'm not sure why. China hasn't sanctioned Russia and its exporters should benefit from the sanctions. But regardless, I got out of almost all China-related investments last year when I started de-risking, and not unhappy that I did. Just noticed that Matthews MIAPX/MITEX are down 20-25% YTD ... ouch. |

Not sure why BABA fell 10% yesterday. China recently ramped up its Covid lockdown, which should be good for BABA (recall how Amazon flourished). A lot of things don't make sense anymore.

I think investors are sending a message to Xi about implications of China overtly supporting Russia, which is a good thing. Markets can accomplish things that governments can't. |
