Is there any Portfolio Visualizer PV Public Forum anywhere? Requires Subscriptions after a free Trial Period. Any Subscribers & expert users here? as I've seen many PV Links on ProBoard & MFO.
Basically Interested in Investing or creating a Portfolio with Mutual Funds ETFs or with any tickers. Discussing...further analysis & Using PV for Retiree Portfolio Design & Try It Out. Optimizing techniques or Lowering Drawdown MDD% or Retiree's withdrawal % in RMD, Inflation .
Please post a link if any discussion Forum exists anywhere? Can it be worthwhile or add Value & additional help for Technical analysis going forward in 2022? ...as we cannot buy any Past Performances...
Thanks in advance. Majick

No forums I am aware of. All that I know I have learned by trying it. Back Test is not difficult to use and is pretty intuitive. There are several here that know quite a bit. yogibearbull might be a good person to ask. Possibly he could share some things on his ProBoards forum.

Like you said PV it is intuitive. I tried it & saving Portfolios ,Models & many other tech nuances ,I'm still going thru FAQ examples but not familiar with it or in learning mode. Are there many active subscribers regular users here ? Yes,YBB & many others are very capable, willing & helpful contributors here. Thanks. Majick

I have no idea who is a subscriber. Might be better to ask specific questions. YBB has been absent lately.

Thanks FD1000,
In General...Plan to test & Implement Portfolio Visualizer PV Portfolio. As a Retiree for 10 yrs, @73+, with RMD mode, I was trying to create Safe PV Test Portfolio...In a Learning Mode.
Using any Fidelity or Schwab NTF list of Mutual Funds. any stock or bond funds Growth Value Balance or any combo. My test goal is to have a low CAGR of 5% to 8% = Low-Risk Low MaxDrawDown MDD %, If Feasible. I understand Moving Average & Charts .PV doesn't show in Chart form any asset just Tables/Numbers. Checking PV Portfolio Quarterly or Monthly or As required. Per PV, switch out of any or all NTF funds to one NTF FloatingRate Fund or Money Market fund or One ETF (MM or Bond ETF).
In Tax-deferred 50%($100K) & Taxable accounts with 50%($100K) As a Clean slate with a Test Portfolio & Tracking it instead of Just Buy & Hold.
I fully understand Per PV's Past performance is No guarantee or may not be repeatable...
Saving PV Portfolios with Name & then retrieving or posting Link here, I kind of got Lost & so I was looking/hoping for PV Forum in Portfolio Design Forum or M.Fund groups. Is it a feasible goal ?
Thanks for your Help. Majick

If you don't pay for a subscription, then you need to upload a portfolio or type it in each time. The attached file is the format to import a portfolio. The a, b, c, etc are the tickers you want to use. The percentages are what you want to use as well. It is an Excel file. On the Portfolio Assets line there 3 drop downs to upload your portfolios. There is a limit of 3 portfolios to compare. For the results you will need to learn what CAGR, Sortino etc. values are. Back Test does show income chart, portfolio growth charts and others.

Majick"I fully understand Per PV's Past performance is No guarantee or may not be repeatable..." Right. But, still of interest. It might also be useful to study asset class behavior during periods of major turmoil, like the "Nifty 50" crash, 1973-74, and the high inflation years that followed. But, we're in a new era of massive central bank / government intervention in markets, which has actually increased social stress and inequality. Never been seen before. I'm not smart enough to know what's coming. I worry about our complacency, remembering how the world stumbled into WW I. Got to meet a Nicki Haley staffer in NY last month and know what she's worried about. It ain't stock market volatility. Fwiw, N.
