I'm changing carriers and going to take advantage of a promotion to get a discounted iPhone. Is a 13 Pro worth $272 more than a regular 13?

Depends on what you're doing. Seems as if the main feature difference is in the display and camera; with a minor battery improvement. My son got me a deal on the PRO MAX; so of the two, I would prefer the PRO. If your desires are fairly basic, an extra $272 is significant. If you're streaming or engaged in photography, then maybe it is worth it to you.

Not to me. I have the 12 mini (also a 13 mini available). I like the smaller size for carrying. The battery life is outstanding. Same processor as full size and Pro.
But then again when they throw "Pro" in your face you can't be less than that.

I like the Pro due to the camera typically being significantly better. I enjoy taking the best photos that I can.

Chahta, I'll be looking to upgrade my flip-phone in 6 weeks. I'd like to hear more about the mini you like so much. Cost & easy of operation come to mind. Thanks, fritzo489

12/13 mini is the size of the 6/7/8 with a larger screen since home button is gone. Cost is about 1/2 less than a Pro but no real loss of features other than 2 lenses instead of 3. I use mine for phone, golf app and internet mainly. Works great for me since I’ve had 4/6 before this one.

Actually I do take lots of pictures with my phone, but mundane things like dogs, food and Scrabble boards which I put on FB. So even a regular 13 will be a step up from the 8 I am using now. I am not a "Pro"!

Many thanks to all who opined. One more question- is 256k memory worth another $130 over 128k? My current 8 has 64k and I’m only using 3/4 of the memory.

Photos and music are what use up memory, ime; especially video. If you're not using up memory NOW, I can't see why you'd need to quadruple it over the life of the unit. Will you actually NEED to take (a lot) more photos; or save more music?

I got the 13, no extra memory. That is very adequate for me. My spouse who loves photography got the 13 pro and loves it.
