I did not see this, and started a new thread. Let the Administrator move it or delete my contribution. I'm not sure how to do that. And maybe only Administrators have the capability? Anyhow, I'm skeptical re: the shift.

The fund is currently managed by Dodge & Cox's U.S. Equity and Fixed Income Investment Committees which consist of 17 members. The upcoming Balanced Fund Investment Committee is more streamlined with only 7 members. It now includes two individuals from the Portfolio Strategy group which focuses on risk and asset allocation research. Perhaps Dodge & Cox wants to increase emphasis on risk/asset allocation with the addition of these Portfolio Strategy group individuals?

Your post was in the Balanced/Allocation Funds forum, which would also be a good place for it ... but on the whole it will be more useful to have one thread about DODBX, not two. I don't think you can move a post (although, of course, you can delete one and re-post it).
