roi2020 , yes it is a shame Covid has become politicized. That started nearly 2 years ago. With all due respect, people make choices for themselves. Not based on what you or any other person thinks (i.e. "false info"). As far as SCOTUS justices giving personal views in interviews, that is in very poor taste. Justices really need to keep their mouths shut and try to prove they are constitutional scholars and unbiased, not political hacks. Covid has uncovered in naked truth, how little respect anyone has for anyone else in this country. The bottom line is if you are triple vaxed, do reasonable things and get a booster as long as you live, you are safe from dying from Covid. Go live your own life.

Is it possible that both those statements are true? There are currently over 1,500 deaths per day from Covid. The vast majority are unvaccinated and contracting Omicron. No it is not possible the statements are true. Covid -- a MAN-MADE plague created in Wuhan laboratory ( with cooperation and funding expedited from Fauci) has miniscule mortality for children. Further, the "Wise Latina's" wrong-headed opinions are irrelevant to her sworn duty to uphold the constitution -- not to legislate health-care notions from the bench. The politicization of this plague -- by both parties -- is another body blow to our confidence in government. Every recent year 2.8 million Americans die from all causes -- which works out to about 7700 deaths per day. In 2020, lockdowns imposed unhealthful conditions on millions, and deaths from Alzheimers, deart disease, stroke and diabetes were all up sharply, which contributed greatly to the 3,3 million 2020 deaths. About 330,000 2020 Covid deaths; I would guess almost all were elderly or had other serious health problems. There are 70 million children in the US. Since the start of of the pandemic 50,000 have died from ALL causes. Each one a tragedy, surely. But statistically, COVID is hardly even a rounding error -- and no data on how many of those kids had severe underlying causes. I live near R. R, our local paper had this headline: "Hospitalizations soar in kids too young for vaccine." But in the article it cited the following: "...hospitalization rates in these youngest children has surged to more than 4 in 100,000 youngsters, up from 2.5 per 100,000.Who dares calling this "soaring?" So if we rounded up 100,000 kids in Port Saint Lucie FL, only 4 are hospitalized! R48

I'm a little surprised to learn that the gold standard PCR test can detect covid virus for many weeks after symptoms. I have not had any symptoms but had "contact" with someone who tested positive for covid. Besides, I had Covid before as have many of my neighbors and friends. Most reported having a cold and some reported having flu symptoms.
