Guys, Anyone here using & familiar with Etrade?
I was looking for a sweep MoneyMarket fund for easier cash access account than Saving Account setup @etrade. I'm retiree.
Thanks in Advance. Majick

I have etrade accounts. No sweep MM. However, they allow one to buy VMFXX. So, I manually sweep into it, which is easy.
Also have Vanguard account, where VMFXX is set up as an automatic sweep.

Majick Consider VMRXX as well which pays a little higher yield. Please check the minimum but e*Trade is usually lenient.

Thanks steadyeddy , You're right; Expense ratio is 0.01% lower. No check writing with VMRXX when held at Vanguard (if that matters).

SteadyEddy & Fearchar Again, I'm totally new to ETrade setting/platform.
So ,I can buy available Vanguards MM funds OR It’s Admiral class MM, outside of Vanguards? At Etrade !
It’s been while, since I closed out a/c after retirement from Vanguard . Here at Etrade , I can Switch or sell out of MM to buy ETF on Next day myself ? Thanks & appreciate your guidance/help. Majick

Majick Majick, you need to search for Vanguard in the Mutual Fund screener and it shows all available funds. Please try that out. Yes, MM funds need to be sold first and the next day you can use the proceeds to buy other things. E*Trade settlement fund basically pays nothing.

Yes. VMFXX and VMRXX have $3K as the minimum starting position and I do not see any other restrictions spelled out upfront for buy or sell. Overall, the Etrade platform seems flexible currently. Thanks. Majick
