I just noticed that the M* page for RPHIX shows an ER of 0.9%. I thought that might be a mistake since I'd remembered it was 0.8-something % when I bought it last year, so I checked the RiverPark page, but nope it's right. So I checked the old M* pages that show ER progression, and sure enough the ER has gone 0.87 → 0.89 → 0.88 → 0.90 the last four years. I was thinking of adding more $$ to RPHIX instead of VUSFX. (I own both as my "cash parking lot".) Based on the chart alone, that's what I should do, since RPHIX beats VUSFX over any and every time period. But the ER is off-putting. Maybe the fund is genuinely expensive to run, although the management fee is a generous 0.65%. On almost $1b assets, that's more than just peanuts.
