I'm getting "You will not receive any personal tax forms this year" for 2022 (and no tax forms available for previous years) on multiple accounts. Looks like it's completely kaput.

At the moment it's got to be a bigger website thing, because nothing from previous years is showing up. My 1099 from Vanguard was ready a while ago. It's still early; no worries. But not very Fido-like. Their website is generally infallible.

I don't know where my posy went, but I tried to say that if memory serves me correctly, Fido was late with their tax info last yr also and the delay was due to issuers who have not yet reported. Sounds like Groundhog Day.

I still have 1 ETF that hasn't reported QDI. They were late last year too and Fido had to send out corrected 1099-DIVs, forcing me to amend an already submitted tax return. I'm sure I wasn't alone in that frustrating experience.

1099 corrections are out of the hands of brokers. If funds issue some correction(s), brokers have to issue corrected 1099.
Schwab issued 2 corrected 1099 related to a short-term muni funds last year. I didn't do any amended 1040X as the impact was less than $10 in each case.

My consolidated 1099-B has been postponed to the end of Feb. The reason: Some securities have not informed them the details yet. I expect the same from other brokerages also. Even if I get the consolidated forms in late Feb., it is very likely that I will get corrected 1099-B after March 15, probably at the end of March. So, there is no use in early filing. Once, even though I submitted the amended return before the deadline due to corrected 1099-B, I was still audited and had to pay a few dollars in interest and penalty. So, I learned a lesson, not to file before the first week of April because Vanguard sent me a second corrected 1099-B at the end of March one year. Vanguard tax guys are very sloppy, and even sent me a corrected 1099-B two years later, 1n 2021.
