My current company's 401k is with Schwab.
Current balance is less than what I contributed this year. I lost money YTD.
And YTD Personal rate of return as per Schwab is +3.5%.
I am getting very doubtful if I can rely on brokerages performance calculations.

It looks like we are guessing. Could it be a different class of stock with higher fees?

I figured it out. My company changed to schwab as 401k provider few months back.
The YTD Rate of Return they are showing is from the date Schwab got the funds and not actual YTD.
