EVs are a farce for mass use. Lithium is not the answer. If you think the chip shortage is bad wait until battery makers can’t get lithium. alvinthechipmunk, fuel cells are not the same as burning hydrogen gas as fuel.

I met an old farmer in Iowa back in the early 80's who ran his farm off of wind power. When the REA came through, sometime in the 20s or 30's they insulted him so he said no to the grid. One of the things he used wind energy for was to create electricity and use it to separate hydrogen and oxygen from water. He pumped the hydrogen into propane tanks and used it for his stove, and I think I remember him using it for welding. He also built the same process into his car using the alternator to produce hydrogen which he fed into the carburetor. He swore he got much better MPG, but I think he was missing something about conservation of energy. LOL!
