I own only 1 (MMHAX/MMHIX). Those 1 year returns over 100% are enticing...

Nice share Chahta Chahta ... I have a number of funds in the list. Many of the funds share some common traits like consistently beating the S&P 500 and their benchmark(s) over long periods and performing better than average in down cycles and capturing exceptional returns in up markets. Will have to study the list a little more. Story says no value funds met the criteria but I believe PARWX should have qualified.

Interesting list of funds. Old_Skeet was surprised to find that a good number of his growth funds owned ( 9 of the 10) were on the list. When time permits, I will look through the remaining list. Wonder how many bond funds that I own made the list?

Handful of my funds made the lists…largely T. Rowe (PRNHX, PRMTX, PRGTX) and Morgan Stanley Inst. (I have MSEGX vs MSEQX, but return consistency is similar). I do make choices more on ten year averages…not going to chase returns on a yearly basis. That way lies madness.

T Rowe's Comm-tech, but owned that since about 1998 IIRC, wasn't the around the time the fund transitioned from closed-end to open-end? That was a great time for original holders of the CEF version, since it was at a pretty significant discount to market value...holders got the boost up to market value with the switchover, then a superb fund in the comm-tech arena straight through to today (save for that nasty little hiccup around 2007-8...ahem!). I was in Sci-Tech at the time and considered moving that portion of the portfolio over, but didn't...alas! Regretted it, as Comm-Tech ate Sci-Tech's lunch from then on. Finally bought my Comm-Tech holdings several years back. Dirk

Yep, and it mighta been 1999 when Comm-Tech was up 93 percent and TR's Sci-Tech fund up 101 percent, then came the "tech wreck" of 2000 to show my lack of trading skill
