Interesting stuff about Virtus and Allianz Global partnership that I missed. It doesn't seem to involve Pimco.

Hi YBB. I believe, Allianz is the parent of Pimco.

I know that Allianz owns Pimco.

But it was also offering funds under Allianz Global name. That Virtus & Allianz Global partnership involves only the Allianz Global funds, not Pimco funds.

Relations between Allianz & Pimco are tense. I find it strange that Allianz went this route instead of just using its Pimco arm.
