Go to Profile (next to the Help button), Edit Profile, Settings, & Privacy.
At the bottom of the Privacy page, you can add members’ that you like to see the least in this forum. (Unfortunately, personal restraining orders are not available, except when Admin decides to ban them from BB entirely and the threshold for that could be higher than you might like.)
For each name you add, the system gives you four choices, which in its imagination allows you to elect how little you want to see going forward the name you just added. Try selecting all four choices or just one, depending on how optimistic you are or your threshold for taking abuse. You can always go back and change those choices. Some members have complained that it is not strong enough in some cases but such is life. We got to make the most of what is available. Do not try to be a martyr - use the Block feature to allow you to stay focused on what is important. YOU.
Good luck investing.

If it is left to me, I would add how to access member block feature to the News stream. It may look like a black eye for the forum for some of you but I do not believe in pretenses. Anybody that has been online knows what goes on. I am not too proud to admit I am a member of a forum that is not perfect but is always striving to be the best possible.

Members can be blocked ("ignored") in two ways: - Click on the member's name (to be blocked) > click the downdown arrow next to the ⚙️ icon > click "Block Member" > choose desired level and click "Block Member".
- Click (your) "Profile" in the main menu bar (under "BIG BANG! Investors") > click "Edit Profile" > click "Privacy" > enter member in the "Member Block List" > choose desired level and click "Save Privacy Settings".
The first way is faster.

Thanks, Chang.
Evidently, I did not know how to reduce pain of being on BB in a less painful manner. Without question the first way you indicated is less tedious. I would consider adding it to the News stream or at least creating a new permanent third thread under Off Topic and provide those instructions.

This thread may belong better in Tips & Toolbox.
There are some other useful threads under Off-Topics (an early board/forum) that also should be moved to Tips & Toolbox (a later board/forum). In the early days, Off-Topic (really General originally and elsewhere) was the only place to put this type of material but then Tips & Toolbox was added.
Some items mentioned in News flash may also be collected and mentioned in Tips & Toolbox. Stuff in News flash goes rather quickly - adjustable default time may be a PB compromise between too fast and too slow.

Very good suggestion, Yogi. I do not remember visiting Tips & Tool box but will try to remember its existence. Off topic is a poor place for info that is permanent in nature.

There are a lot of PB "How To" posts in Off-Topic that could go into Tips & Toolbox. Although I had thought of Tips & Toolbox as a place for investment related tools: MFO's ranking tool, Fido's fund selector, various charting tools, etc. Didn't intend for it to be a ProBoards FAQ. I'll leave them in OT for the time being; it isn't as if the OT Board is that big. I can also make a new Board or Category (at the expense of cluttering up the homepage a little more), if anyone prefers that. Weigh in if you have a preference, and I'll go with the majority.
