chang, I completely understand your point. I do it for fun. My Goals: I need 4% but want to make 6%. I want to make it with the lowest SD < 3, never lose more than 3% from any last top. I don't care about maximizing performance anymore. The way I do it is using bonds OEFs and only trade stocks/ETF/CEF for hours to days. These trades are successful at a very high %. I really don't need to use risky stuff because my portfolio performance is much better than my needs only with bonds. I call it funny money, it's much better than gambling Remember, I sold everything before the March 2020 crash and bought again staring at the end of 03/2020. I "overhaul" my portfolio all the time since I have only 2-3 funds and may not be equal in %, it's part of my system. BTW, SP500(VFIAX) was up "only" 140% since the bottom of the crash.

FD1000 , "BTW, SP500(VFIAX) was up only" 140% since the bottom of the crash." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My math gets "only" 101.4% Total return from VFIAX since the bottom of the 2020 crash, 3/23/2020. Yep, I made a mistake, it was 107%. Stockchart is off by one day, sometimes you need to use the next day to get it correctly. See below Attachments:

I was reading an FT article today that most of the EM investment money in last one month (or two) has gone to "EM ex China" funds.
