Ever since I bought my Dell laptop a little over a year ago I have been fighting a jumping cursor when I type. Not all the time. But when it gets in the mood to jump it persists. I called Dell and they told me they can fix it for $100. I said huh, this problem has persisted right out of the box. Too bad for me. I discovered they were smart enough to sell me a computer that has no warranty on the software. Geek Squad can't fix it. My internet searches are fruitless. Any ideas for a solution?

Paul, is this happening in ALL applications; i.e., browsers, wordprocessors, etc? Or is it just with a certain application? It's intermittent? Is it always the same keys being pressed? I'm saying this because it sounds like a hardware issue rather than software. If it's hardware, then the warrantee should kick in.

See ( this) ( this) Use another mouse (from other people in the house). If you don't have another buy, try and return to Amazon.
