These 3 mutual funds are the only ones that are not looking so hot in a portfolio. Of course, I'm referring to YTD performance ... as I entered them this year. They are not doing so well for obvious reasons. If anyone does have a position in one of these funds, I would be interested in your opinion of their future performance LT or crystal ball... thanks in advance.

I had a starter position in FSEAX. Never added to it and with the YTD plung in price that is similar to FHKCX, I recently just rolled into TCELX, a dedicated China fund, so I can reduce the number of funds in my port and the sale is also a vote on lack of confidence in Fidelity's international investing relative to other shops. Note I have an insignificant dedicated international investing.

Of course the YTD numbers aren't great. Bought as a short-term trade, it would not have been successful. Long-term, we don't know anything for certain. But my personal view is that FSEAX and ARTYX are good LT investments. (I am not familiar with the third ticker.) EM and Asia have been discussed elsewhere, so I won't repeat my views on this. The former FSEAX lead manager (John Dance) moved to FEMKX, which is why I am positive on that (and own it); however, his previous co-manager (and now sole FSEAX manager) seems to be pretty good, too. I don't know what your objectives were with these purchases, but I would hold them both. Disclosure: I own FEMKX and APDYX [Advisor class of ARTYX].

I have ARTYX and FEMKX. Sticking to both of them. Though recently moved 50% of my ARTYX to WAESX (Wastech Emerging Market Select).
Many of my underperforming funds in past continued to underperform for multiple years. That is why I moved part of ARTYX to WAESX. WAESX has better performance this year.
(One of the posters had a very good post in past about a strategy he followed to switch to top performing funds based on certain criteria at regular cadence. I should have saved the post.)
