I think most of us are in retirement or looking towards it. While I’m at that age I don’t see a gold watch in my future. Being a musician, when COVID hit hard in March of 2020, I started to re-think that premise and that perhaps retirement was indeed in my future. As events unfolded, against all odds, Nov 2020-June 2021 became the busiest and most money-making months in years. I can work as a solo and had already acquired high speed wired internet. I was soon doing virtual performances from my home studio in the US, China, Haiti, for local municipalities and many school/university residencies. I learned about sound reinforcement and interfacing with computers as well as some camera work. Fast forward to June 2020 and COVID seems a thing of the past. All energy is now going to in-person performances. Opps, but about 4 weeks later, threat of a resurgence is upon us due to Delta variant. If there are any small business owners who had to transition to an on-line existence, what are your plans going forward? I’m thinking about upping my on-line game in a (possibly not so far in the future) return to reality. TIA - RM
