Norbert, interesting. I live in San Jose. One of the smartest people I've ever know was Dr. Bill Wattenburg who died 3 yrs. He was not so much investment smart but everything else smart. He had radio show on KGO. My aunt and uncle lived in Larkspur. They have died but family still there and my cousin lives in San Rafael hills. Did you ever live in Marin County? Yes! I went to high school in San Francisco, four years at Cal, and lived in Marin from 1982 to 1998. Built out in Inverness, kept a sailboat in Sausalito. Will be in San Rafael for the month of September, unless Covid-19 rules stop me from flying to SFO from France. I'd like to hear more about Dr. Bill. The name sounds familiar. The best memory I have of my friend is about when one of his daughters became very ill. Marin General couldn't figure it out. Paul moved her to Stanford, but did his own research. Stanford also couldn't determine the cause of the problem that was about to end her life. Paul developed a theory and diplomatically told the Stanford MD, "I was doing a little reading and found this strange case ..." The MD reacted, "Wait! Let's check that out!" Sure enough, Paul was right. He had just saved his daughter's life. It's a great story. N.

My guess is you went to Lowell because that is where all the smart guys in The City go. Am I right? My 99 year old mom went to Galileo but my guess is Lowell for you. Here is Dr. Bill info. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_Wattenburg

I got a little lucky because I ignored St Ignatius and Riordan. Bold move by me a Bellarmine grad.

I went to Cal. I lived in Marin from 1977 to 1981. I went to what is now called the Branson School for high school. Small world! Was just in SF visiting a high school friend who has a house on 32nd Ave. Was wonderful!

Am planning to have lunch at Ebisu on 9th avenue in San Francisco today. Have been raving about their sushi for 30 years.

Welcome back. Left CA 2 weeks ago. Haven't been in SF since I did a couple of stints in UCSF hospital 4 years ago.

I just finished listening too this podcast on my morning walk (5.5 miles). Interesting thoughts, worth listening to. He is very “valuation oriented”, and basically says US investors should be VERY cautious about being “home biased” and putting too much in US stocks. Talked a lot about current over- valuation of US markets, by all measures. He is big on the Schiller CAPE PE, basically saying the US equity market is very over-valued, and US based investors should be putting more in foreign/ EM stocks. I can’t say I disagree with him, I have worried about US valuations for several years. Interesting podcast. Win
