Followed Amazon for years, and have set “low ball” buy orders several times in the past for it, without ever actually buying it. Now, it’s selling in the $3350- $3500 range, with a forward P/E of 62. By all my “traditional” valuation measures, it looks “expensive”, but I’ve been saying that off an on for years. Would you buy here or not?

Not me, yet. A few weeks ago it was 5-10% cheaper than now. Long term it's always great but the tree shakes pretty often.

A few years ago I wanted to buy it at 900...it was trading at 1000...so I waited, and waited...only to buy it at 1400 later on. My investment has now doubled and then some. Do I care having bought it 500 more expensive than what I wanted to pay? Nope.
Amazon is one I bought with the expectation of holding it for decades,
