How's this for wait times? I called Social Security to inquire about my application which according to their website should have been processed by now. After listening to a few minutes of irrelevant information I am finally offered an option to speak to an agent. This option is not available until after suffering the said irrelevant info. Upon entering the speak to an agent option, I listen to some more irrelevant information before being told the wait time is 59 min. And, they do not have a call back option.
So, I call my local office and pretty much the same routine, but this time after finally being able to dial ) to speak to an agent, I get a ring tone that changes 3X and then I am automatically disconnected. Thinking it could just be a random disconnect I call again and go through the same process only to be disconnected again.
The world can be a depressing place if it weren't for faith and hope! I filed my application 4 months before wanting to start benefits so here's to faithfully hoping they will manage to meet that date.
