@r48 Let me offer a correction. None with billions, not even close. Market cap is 4.4B oops I see others had commented on this. R48 in bold: I reread my posts and do not know what you are referring to ...billions?? Which post?

I think meature was referring to the following post where you quoted ECE Prof. Link
The ECEProf post states: "Here are the top 20 investors in PDI, some with billions in stake." IMO this is very misleading. These investors do not have "billions" at stake. First, the CEFs like PDI are only 500 million to perhaps five billion in total assets. The largest holder(Morgan Stanley) provided by ECEProf holds $165 million. Yes, the institution may hold billions in total assets, but not in PDI etc. What am I missing?" Edit to add: I see...the problem may be I was quoted, but roi2020 was referring to the ECEProf post. Let me de-lurk enough to type that I ignore the Prof's posts. He's seemingly well-intentioned and is likely a nice guy, but too often his posts have incorrect information and reasoning as well at times being off-thread and filled with extra info not helpful.

R48 Yes, they do. You need to multiply those numbers with another 1000. Read the numbers carefully.

Yes, they do. Read the top. You need to multiply those numbers with another 1000. Also, add their investments in the other PIMCO CEFs. You will know what I am saying. The "back-of-the-envelope" SA guys have no idea how PIMCO can and does make money. Risk factor is immaterial under the present circumstances. Stock investment is more risky than the income investments. It is all relative.
Stocks are down, and I am up. Guess, what made the difference? PDI.
