yogibearbull and others,
In 2020, I suggested buying Bitcoin instead of Gold. Since then Bitcoin has not reverted to the levels where I would have the courage to buy some. Now that we have Coinbase stock available to buy in any brokerage, I wonder if it is a poor man's (or my kind of) way of playing crypto. Any thoughts?
What would be your buy price for Coinbase? Analysts covering this stock have an average buy rating with $250 to $650 target price.
BRIEF-Coinbase Says There Was A "False Narrative That Coinbase Executives Were Selling The Majority Of Their Stock When We Listed On Nasdaq"

April 27 (Reuters) - Coinbase Global Inc:
* COINBASE SAYS THERE WAS A "FALSE NARRATIVE THAT COINBASE EXECUTIVES WERE SELLING THE MAJORITY OF THEIR STOCK WHEN WE LISTED ON NASDAQ"
* COINBASE SAYS "ALESIA HAAS, CFO, SOLD 15% OF HER TOTAL OUTSTANDING EQUITY, NOT 100% AS QUOTED IN SOME REPORTS"
* COINBASE SAYS "EMILIE CHOI, PRESIDENT AND COO, SOLD 24% OF HER TOTAL OUTSTANDING EQUITY"
* COINBASE SAYS BRIAN ARMSTRONG, CEO, SOLD <2% OF HIS TOTAL OUTSTANDING EQUITY, NOT 71%
Edit: The CFO and COO's sales are huge. Those sales may be less than 50% of their respective holdings but in the high-tec world, those sales are big. I am sure a lot of non-officer employees must have also offloaded a lot of their stock after seeing their own officers sell big. At my previous employers the employees always paid attention to Form 4 filings.
