Sorry for the abrupt color change. I am trying to improve the visibility of hyperlinks (e.g., Homepage). As you may have observed, hyperlinks (embedded links) are not underlined in ProBoards, contrary to standard practice. There should be a way to customize hyperlinks by adding underline, bold, color, etc. I tried to do this and unfortunately it just does not work. Hence, I looked through the various color schemes to see which one offered the best visibility for hyperlinks. This one is pretty good. You can try other colors schemes if you wish. Go to Profile > Edit Profile > Settings; then under "Forum Theme" you will see a choice of colors with fairly contrasting hyperlinks.

I agree with RM; it seems strange to get a prompt response to issues! 8^b

The blue seems to work for me better too. Whatever color anyone else likes is OK with me. It's a free Country.

For admin/chang:
Thanks for all of the work [and time expended] you put into the website. I also would prefer blue but have no real objection. The reason for me [for blue] is that I wear special glasses for using the internet and the red appears a shade or less in readability. Posting and reading numbers could be little harder for some who use similar glasses...
Again, it doesn't matter and thanks for the work you do....

xray Capital You can switch yourself to blue quickly and easily. Go to Profile > Edit Profile > Settings; then under "Forum Theme" you will see blue among the choice of colors. (I don't think hyperlinks stand out much better in the blue theme than they did before.)

Great work, Chang. I know it takes time and effort for every little thing. Appreciate it.
The red color goes well with the rising China theme! Now, there is no way I am going to miss the hyperlinks, as much as I will miss the aesthetics of the previous color scheme

Thanks anitya, it was your comment about hyperlink visibility that prompted me to address the problem (after it had already been mentioned several times by others). I missed the China connection 🇨🇳 ... good observation!

Although I liked the "blueish" color theme better, the site is great. I have not been back to M*. I do still miss a few of the posters there and hopefully they will find there way here.

Now I need to know how I change the letter size to be a bit bigger when I read an existing post Use CTRL+ ... KISS That works well on my laptop, I did first time on the main page and it remembers it thru all pages. On my cell I also use Chrome and I must do it on every page and we know pages are being added all the time. Another problem, it take several actions to do it, see ( here). Below are 2 examples run by the same service. Attachments:

I haven't fully figured the fonts. In Chrome, Armchairinvesting at browser 125% looks almost same as this and others at browser 150%. I cannot explain this. There is a Minimum Font Size plugin but it seems to affect only post-fonts and PM-fonts, but not menu-fonts; font size is set in Pixels, not Points. I played with it but gave up on it. www.proboards.com/library/plugins/item/734

I appreciate the votes for blue, but my eyes tell me that hyperlinks don't show up with any more contrast in blue than they did in the original scheme. The trick is for the hyperlink color to be bright enough to stand out from black text, but not so light/bright that it gets lost in the white background. So far, this basic red seems to be the optimum color. However, anyone is free to switch to blue or another color if they wish. I will try to add a few more colors to the drop-down list, but I think the best ones are already there.

I had forgotten about the color options as I changed mine to Turquoise in Jan and am happy with it. The Big Bang Forum color topic came up at Armchair and both Yogi and Chahta chimed in to let the posters know that color at Big Bang can be personalized. Yogi even posted the instructions on how to do that. chang , I would include the Color matter as a permanent topic in the News. A

I would include the Color matter as a permanent topic in the News. Good idea. I switched the news feed to "dynamic" (picks random posts) a while back, but I just switched it back to the news list. So many new members in the last 3 months, and some of these "old" news items might be new to some.
