Bought a small amount of RPV to add to my allocation. I've been pairing RPV with QQQM. While not an exact replica, it gives me a somewhat similar sector allocation to VOO without a lot of middle ground blend equities. It also gives me close to 30% in MV equities. We will see how it works.

Market found a toehold today, right when it needed one. Not ready to return to a Lo-Vol broad based ETF yet. See what tomorrow brings, as short term signals haven't tripped bullish yet. Will be happy to re-enter the market as it's pulling out of a small dip -- just don't want to be holding on the way down. Do NOT trust my instincts -- but I do feel any bullish rally from here will be short-lived. Repeat: don't trust that. I did add to NRZ and NLY anticipating XDs ahead. BTW, am continuing the daytrading in side accounts. Just not regularly posting about it. 'Twas a fine day for ETHE.

I have been consolidating my portfolio lately by eliminating some poor performers and adding small amounts to the strong ones. Also I added to cash and equivalents along the way, as I am also concerned about the condition of the market. I added a small amounts to NRZ and PSEC in anticipation of upcoming dividends.

Picked up first bucket of UBER. This is risk money.
It is a useful service, re-opening play but not sure how they will make profit.

All signals I follow are bearish. Added again to PSQ shortly after the open, bringing protective hedges to 7% of port value, but will closely watch final half hour of trading today for a possible last-minute burst upward.
Nothing violent this week, either direction. Yet.

Selling some FEMKX. I don't have any particular worries about EMs per se, this is just another sale into continued weakness.

Using today's weakness to open FBALX in my Fidelity account. I've been waiting to add it and currently have a drop and extra cash at the same time. I'll intend to make it my equity-lite proxy for further drops.

Took some losses today selling into additional weakness in SLVO, GLDI, ZTR. Letting the cash sit waiting for markets to settle down. I am thinking that won't happen until Washington shows some financial responsibility.

Any reason for leaning towards FBALX?

I didn’t use this site when selecting FBALX over FPURX … but it shows FBALX with a bit better performance www.askfinny.com/compare/FBALX-vs-FPURXFBALX slightly more growth and better performance slightly as well. I believe they favor IT over health and bonds.

steadyeddy , Yes, I consider it a toss up, with a slight edge to FBALX. Truth be told it's less diversification as I already hold a lot of those positions. But there is a reason I choose to hold them. It fits the matrix of my other holdings pretty well I think. Take care.

Well -- here we go. Reviewed my accounts before today's open. Too late to pour big bucks into the bearish hedges, but added 1% of port value to PSQ by selling a chunk of NRGX. Also put in an order to sell what's left of my IHD at the open (Em Mkt. Will almost surely take a loss on it, but guessing a lot of retail holders will sell after the day opens, so it should drop further as the day progresses. Want to see how the MLPs and short term paper (JSD and floating rates) behave today. Might find an oppty to snatch some PTY if mkt gets especially ugly. Already have a low-ball GTC order on NRZ. See what happens.
Watching: FSK HGLB KNOP TWO ECC SPH DX GER. Ready for the open with 55% cash and 8% bearish ETFs.
Katie, bar the door.

My horoscope said BTD - but go slowly. Building FBALX, and bot a little more yield in PTY (18.50). Limit orders for SCHD and another super low order for a bigger buy of PTY.

If you add $util to your chart, it becomes interesting. Just a suggestion.

Bought QQQM through a limit order I had paced last month. Sure hope that today was a dip and not a rut!

Whoops! A very old GTC order to buy SCHY at $25 triggered today. Caught me by surprise. Hasn't done very well since I bought it, but I am willing to give it time.

Bought a bunch of a dividend stock ETF (HDV) today as a supplement to the total market US index. HDV offers better dividends and more stodgy companies as compared to TSM.

I reopened a position in SILJ this morning. I was hoping for a better price but that is not going to happen under current conditions.

OK. Took good gains on half my big position in PSQ; performed very well yesterday protecting PV.
Also sold remaining SD; reluctant to sell, but trend is against me, crumbling remaining gains. NLY & KNOP struggling upward a bit.
Bought opening positions in TWO and ECC for the income.
No technical signals have tripped yet for the big broad market ETFs. Remaining largely out of equities for now.
I hate gold. There. I said it.
------- EDIT: Rocky day for ETHE. Wrong-footed it TWICE today on sudden reverses ; two small losses.

rhythmmethod , $15.56 - 21.66 = the 52 week price range of PTY. Thanks, steelpony10, I'll keep adding very slowly (my vain attempt at control) until I reach ~ 2-3% of PV, then become more picky probably. While I have your attention; what would be your second choice for a FI CEF? Probably not PCI/PDI, I guess bc of the merge.

I love limit orders 😀 If I see it anywhere close to the $15s I would consider a little more.
