Excuse my ignorance.
What is the problem with MJ growers and distributors? Overcapacity or under demand? This business stocks come across like the streaming business stocks e.g., DIS, PARA, WBD, etc.

It can't help any business if your competition is a criminal enterprise that pays no taxes, observes no regulations, laughs at OSHA, ignores SocSec, and shoots trouble-makers.

As I do not have any knowledge of this industry (who produces and who distributes / sells), your reply is too cryptic for my understanding. Are you suggesting that the States where it is legal to grow and sell, there are criminal enterprises that grow and sell / operate as unregistered businesses so they do not have to pay taxes and can ignore regulations? If the volume of this illegally grown and sold MJ so large to make a dent in the profits of legal growers and sellers, I worry for the consumers of this illegally grown MJ. I ask these questions because from time to time I think about investing in AFCG.

Plenty of cash on hand: 5.88. Distributes 1.93 dividends (16%) Institutions own over 20% but reported selling lately.... no idea why. TipRanks: 7/10. Operating margin 39% Debt to equity: just .41. Lightly covered by only three analysts, but I see one hold and two buys. Merrill L doesn't cover. Currently has dipped; may be flirting with support right here..

Just checking back about growth stocks.
I added Amgen a few months ago and I t has done very well, up 12% last night after reporting earnings. Amazon has also done very well, up 45% since I bought it over the last year. Also I have done well with Microsoft in the last year. I sold Alphabet about 4 months ago because it had done nothing in the last year - but it went up last night after reportingg earnings.

I'm not sure if the move to a schedule 1 classification on pot would help or hurt AFCG. The industry, far as I can tell, would then have better access to banks, which could hurt. Tax situation would improve for the industry. I read that 75% of the market is still illegal, even in states where it's legal.
I am surprised by how many people at my golf club play stoned or at least get stoned. Big wigs, retirees, old ladies, employees, you name it. Non club friends too. Pretty sure they use legal dispensaries.

BTW, nice timing on Amgen, kathiel. Seems you like the pharms. Gotta love the obesity craze. Getting crowded now I wonder?
