As far as I can tell, the new PM does not have a 1-week data point.

As far as I can tell, the new PM does not have a 1-week data point. If that is all that's no longer available on the new M* Portfolio Manager, I can live with it. But, does anyone know that for sure? Or, are there other important data elements missing? Thanks, Fred

Or, are there other important data elements missing? Thanks, Fred I reopened the data points menu for the new PM and can confirm the 1-week is not an option. Bear in mind that the time period (e.g. 1-month, 3-months, etc) are nested in the Total Return data point once you add it to your custom view. I only mentioned the 1-week period because FD said he used it (I do, or did, too). Hard to compare old and new data points side by side. I would just try to (re)construct what you want and see what's available.

I still think overall M* leadership and adaptive innovation will go down as one of the most colossal "misses" in the last 20 years.... they totally had first mover advantage AND were the best in the new information age of investing and squandered both. ("be first, be the best, or be different") -JavaJoe Agreed. M* has/had a monopoly on asset rating and analysis, which I think will be squandered. Leadership there shows no sense of touch. I’m surprised a competitor(s) hasn’t swooped in and marginalized them, but that’s what I bet will happen. It’s just a hunch, but I think M* will join the ranks of Kodak, Nokia, Blackberry, Blockbuster, Sears, Radio Shack, etc. as a once mighty monopoly that pissed away its moat.

Are all of our old portfolios and transactions still there in the new Portfolio Manager? TIA Yes, my portfolios and transactions ported over to the new PM. However, Watchlists didn't (but you can use an import feature for Watchlists in the new PM) and any customized views that you created in the old PM will have to be recreated ("My View" in the old).

There used to message at top of Portfolio Manager that this feature will be removed for free users. I don't see this message any more. Does it mean portfolio saved there at Morning star will continue to be available or no change from previous announced change?
